Period 2-3

Do Now:
1. Take out your recipe for the Thanksgiving How To Assignment 

2. Take out your SSR Log.



To Do:
1. Writing: 
Get a chrome book.  
Open up Google Classroom.
Scroll to your Thanksgiving How To Essay.
Open the document.
Close your screen 1/2 way.


Pay attention to the SMART board and Mrs. King 
as she shows how to write the introductory paragraph.


It is important to be specific when you write.

2. We will play Quizlet to study the vocab.

HW:
Finish writing your first body paragraph.
Study ch.1-3 Vocab.

(and your signed permission slip if you haven't handed it in yet).

Do Now:
Take out your SSR Log sheet.

To Do:1. Reading: We will finish reading "The Third Wish" which is similar to "The Monkey's Paw" in several ways.  As we read, note similarities and differences between the twostories.  This will help you to write a compare and contrast essay later on.

2. Writing: Together we will complete a Venn diagram on "The Monkey's Paw" and "The Third Wish."

3. Vocab.:  We will take the vocab. quiz.

4. Grammar: Begin working on Sentences & Sentence Fragments lessons on NoRedInk.
Due 11/21 (next Thursday)
