Period 2-3
Do Now: Take out p.18 (1 & 2) TCOTW questions packet

SSR & Reading Log when timer goes off 
*Change in procedure: In class you will write the original type of reading log and for homework, you will just fill out the form.
Students will be called up during SSR to show that they have rated at least 20 books on GoodReads.com and therefore, can use the site to find and rate books they want to read for SSR.

To Do:
1. On a sheet of line paper, write one R.A.C.E. paragraph to respond to this question. (Keep this with TCOTW packet):   Is Buck a better leader than Spitz?  Explain how.  Use specific examples from the story to prove it.
         
2. The Call of the Wild: We will continue reading chapter 4 stopping periodically to recap what is happening and to discuss the plot events and character interactions. Can we answer and of the questions for chapter 4 yet?

3.  We will play Ch.4 Quizizz to review what we read today.

4. Spend time studying TCOTW ch.1-3 vocab. to prepare for the vocab. quiz which will be tomorrow.

5. Spend time working independently on NoRedInk.com (Commonly Confused Words) lesson.

First he loves Rosaline and then he loves Juliet with a passion. How would you treat Romeo if he were your friend? What advice would you give him based on your knowledge of "fickle" friendships?
