Do Now: Take out SSR HW Log 

SSR & Reading Log when timer goes off 
You may be called up during SSR to show that you have rated at least 20 books 
on GoodReads.com and therefore, can use the site to find and rate books you 
want to read for SSR.

To Do:
1. Obj: I can actively think about the novel we are reading as a class.
On a sheet of line paper, write one R.A.C.E. paragraph to respond to 
this question. (Keep this with TCOTW packet): 
-Why do you think Dave did not want to give up his spot? 
-What is Jack London trying to tell us about society with Dave's situation?
         
2. Obj: I can describe the traits of three new characters and realize why I am 
coming to those conclusions.
The Call of the Wild: We will begin reading chapter 5 today (p.57-62). 
We will discuss the plot events and character interactions as we read. 
-What can we fill in on the web for Hal, Charles and Mercedes on p.17?
-Can we answer any of the questions for chapter 5 yet? (#3? #4? #5?)

3.  Obj: I can accurately recall the events of chapters 1-4 which we recently read.
We will play Quizizz to review the plot events of what we have read so 

far in chapters 1-4. 

4. Obj: I can correctly use commonly confused words (there, they're, their, etc.)
Spend time working independently on NoRedInk.com

log and for homework, you will just fill out the form.
Students will be called up during SSR to show that they have rated at least 
20 books on GoodReads.com and therefore, can use the site to find and rate 
books they want to read for SSR.

1. Choose one of the Romeo and Juliet Writing Prompts to respond to.  
You need to follow R.A.C.E. for your paragraph.
     
2. R & J: We will finish reading Act 2 today. 
-Can we answer any more of the questions (thin packet) for Act 2 yet?
-Answer the Act 2 questions in the thick packet.

3.  Spend time studying Romeo and Juliet Act 1 Quizlet  
& Romeo and Juliet Act 2 Quizlet to prepare for the acts 1 & 2 quiz.

4. Take the Act 1 & 2 quiz.

This is the "Test" activity on Quizlet.
Show Mrs. King your score once you've done each one.
