Good Morning,

By now everyone should have already joined our class on
Google Hangouts Chat.  This is where you can easily ask
questions about any school work you need some extra help
with.  Everyday be sure to check this website and Google
Chats for any important information.

Day 2 At-Home To Do List for English Class:
Period 2-3:

1. Vocabulary:
    a. Do page 25 of The Outsiders packet.  Type your answers into the
     document on Google Classroom and remember to "Turn In"
      when you're done working.
    b. Create a Quizlet on these 8 words and add it to the class.

2. Literature:
    a. Read chapter 10 and answer the questions on page 26 of The
      Outsiders packet.  Type your answers into the document on
      Google Classroom.
    b. Press "Turn In" when you're done working.

3. SSR:
    a. Read your SSR book for at least 20 minutes today.
    b. Write a reading log on the sheet you were given on Thursday or Friday
     in class. (8 reading logs are due when we return to school)

3. Grammar:
    a. Work on NoRedInk Mixed Practice (Due Friday).

Vocab. & Reading work is due by 10pm tonight.

Day 2 At-Home To Do List for English Class:
Period 5-6:

1.  SSR
     a. Read your SSR book for at least 20 minutes today.
     b. Write a reading log on the sheet you were given on Thursday or Friday
       in class. (8 reading logs are due when we return to school)

2.  Grammar:
    a. Work on NoRedInk Mixed Practice (Due Friday).

3. Vocabulary:
    a. Study Lesson 5 Vocabulary words.
    b. Lesson 5 Vocab. Test tomorrow.

4. Literature:
    a. Log into NewsELA.com.
    b. Click on "binder" to see your newest assignment.
    c. Read the article titled, "Why everything is closing for coronavirus:
       It’s called 'flattening the curve.'"
    d. As you read, make at least 4 annotations on it.
         Your annotations can be about anything the article makes
         you think or wonder about as you read.
    e. Write a response to the "Write" activity question using R.A.C.E.
    f. Answer the 4 "Quiz" activity questions.
    g. Press "Turn In" on Google Classroom when you're done working.

All for needs to be done by 10pm tonight.
