Period 2-3


Do Now: 
-When everyone looks ready, we will watch the morning show and
then begin reading.

-Take out your Ch.2 The Outsiders crossword puzzle to be checked. 

-Take out p.8 of The Outsiders packet to be checked.

-Open up to your Outsiders packet.

-Get a copy of the novel.


To Do: 

1. Literature & Vocab.:
    a. We will go over the Crossword puzzle from lesson 2 vocab.
    b. We will go over the End-of-Chapter questions for chapters 1 & 2.
    c. The Outsiders Ch.1 & 2 Quiz

2. Grammar: 
    a. Pronoun-Antecedent Video Explanation
    b. Work on page (p.165) in the Grammar Packet.
    c. NoRedInk: Continue working on the Pronoun Practice assignment. (due Fri)


3. New SSR Project will be explained and handed out.


HW:
1. Read for at least 30 minutes.
2. Work on NoRedInk: Pronoun-Antecedent practice (due Friday)
3. Do p.165 & 166 grammar in packet

Period 5-6

Do Now:
1. Take out your vocab. workbook to show 4 C & D to Mrs. King.
2. Open your R & J packet  to the Act 2 questions.
3. Open up to your R.A.C.E. written response that you should have written for HW.



To Do:
1. Literature: 
     a. Today we will read act 2, scenes 1 & 2 of Romeo and Juliet.
     b. As you read, fill in the Act 2 scene 1 & 2 questions in the packet .  
     c. Take the Act 2 scenes 1 & 2 reading check quiz.

2. Vocabulary: Lesson 4
     a. Work on activity E in your vocabulary workbook.
      b. If you finish E you can study the vocab. words on Quizlet.

3. Writing:
     a. Review R.A.C.E. using R.A.C.E. Prezi.
     b.  Take out your R.A.C.E. response that you did for HW and trade with a classmate.  
          Using a correcting pen, you need to make corrections on his/her response.  
          Work on a response in your journal.
        *Be respectful and corrective in anything you write or say to your peers.  

4. Grammar: 
     a. Work on the next two pages in the Grammar Packet (p.165 & 166).        
     b. NoRedInk: Finish up the Pronoun Practice assignment.

5. New SSR Project will be explained and handed out.


HW:
1. Vocab. workbook 4 E (due tomorrow)
2. Pronoun Practice on NoRedInk (due Friday)
3. Pick an SSR project to do at the end of the month. (due Friday)
4. Read for at least 30 minutes (no SSR log needed)
5. Write your Act 1 R.A.C.E. response paragraph if you didn't already do one yesterday.
