Period 2-3

1. SSR (15-20 mins.)

Begin silent reading.
As you are reading, Mrs. King will be calling you over to check your vocabulary workbooks.

2. Vocabulary: (15-20 mins) 
Get a chrome book and log in.
Go to Quizlet.com.
Study your Lesson 2 words.

3. Grammar: (15-20 mins)
     a. We'll go over Rule 5 today in the Grammar Packet (Rules 2, 3, 4, & 5) 

     b. All pages for Rule 5 should be done by tomorrow.

4. Writing: (10 minutes)

 In your journal, respond to one of these prompts.  Your answer should be at least 3 sentences, but not longer than two paragraphs. (You should have two entries done by Monday, which will be checked).

HW:

1 SSR entry for today
2 a, b, c, d & e (should be done already)

1 New Year's writing prompt

Period 5-6

1. SSR (15-20 mins.)

Begin silent reading.
As you are reading, Mrs. King will be calling you over to check your vocabulary workbooks.

2. Vocabulary (15-20 mins) 
Take out your vocabulary workbook to be checked (if you already showed it to Mrs. King yesterday, then you don't need to take it out.)

Book 6: We will go over the vocabulary workbook on the SMART board.
Book 8: Log into a chrome book.  Go to Quizlet.com and study Lesson 2 words.

3. Grammar (15-20 mins) 

Take out your grammar packet to be checked (up to p.34 should be done).

4. Literature (15-20 mins) 

Take out your Stargirl packet & get a copy of the book.
Today we will finish reading chapter 22 and answer the questions for chapter 22 in the packet.

5. Writing (10 mins.)

In your journal, respond to one of these prompts.  Your answer should be at least 3 sentences, but not longer than two paragraphs. I would really like to see five-seven sentences.
