Do Now:
Take out your SSR sheet for this week.
Fill out the time.
Fill out the page you are on.
Begin reading.

To Do:
1. SSR
When the timer goes off, write your reading log.

2. Literature/Writing
We will continue reading chapter 6 today.
You will fill in TCOTW packet as we read and discuss the story.

3. Vocabulary
After reading, you may work on NoRedInk or your vocabulary workbook.
Lesson 1 A, B, C, D, & E should be done by tomorrow afternoon.

4. Grammar
You will get a new grammar packet: Rule 1 Grammar Packet
If you finish the first packet early, you may move on to: Rules 2-5 Pages.


HW:
1. SSR (3rd entry for this week; all 4 due Friday)
2. Vocab. workbook A, B, C, D & E due tomorrow!
3. Rule 1 Grammar Packet (Do the whole first page.)
4. Mrs. King is at the Drop In Center on Thursday!

    a. Get your journal and respond to the following prompt:

"The story is told in first person by a male character.  Why?  

What advantage does this give the reader? 

What disadvantage?"

     b. We will read chapter 5 of Stargirl.
     c. We will play Kahoot to do a quick review for the quiz.     
     d. We will complete the chapters 1-5 Reading Check Quiz.


3. Vocab. 
All lesson 1 activities should be done in your vocab. workbook.
Start studying lesson 1 words using the Quizlet we made.

4. Grammar
 Lesson 3 Grammar Packet
