Period 2-3 

Do Now:
Take out your SSR sheet for this week.
Fill out the time.
Fill out the page you are on.
Begin reading.

To Do:
1. SSR
When the timer goes off, write your reading log.

2. Literature/Writing
We will start reading chapter 7 today.
You will fill in TCOTW packet as we read and discuss the story.

3. Vocabulary
Work on NoRedInk Capitalization Practice, which Mrs. King and Mr. Hicks go around to work with each vocab. group.  We will go over the answers to activities a, b, c, d, & e. 
Hand in your workbook with all of your corrections to be checked.
Book 3: Lesson 1
Book 4: Lesson 1
Book 5: Lesson 1

4. Grammar
Work on the Rule 1 Grammar Packet
If you finish the first packet early, you may move on to: Rules 2-5 Pages.


HW:
1. SSR (4th entry for this week; all 4 due tomorrow)
2. Rule 1 Grammar Packet (Do the whole 2nd page.)
3. Mrs. King is at the Drop In Center Today!
4. Since you all did not get the vocabulary workbook activities done, you may have today to do them.  
They will be collected tomorrow and graded. Exercises a, b, c, d, & e need to be done.

Do Now:
Take out your Stargirl packet and turn to p.6.
Get a copy of the novel and turn to p.27
Get your journal and begin #1 on the To Do list.

To Do:

1. Literature/Writing
     a. Journal: Write about a time when you felt you needed to do something to fit in to a group.  

     b. Today we will read chapters 6 & 7 in Stargirl by Jerry Spinelli. 

     c. Answer the questions on p.6 of the packet.

2. Vocab. 
Start studying lesson 1 words using the Quizlet we made.
Mrs. King will go over the answers to activities a, b, c, d, & e with each vocab. group.
Book 6: Lesson 1
Book 8: Lesson 1

3. Grammar
 Lesson 3 Grammar Packet (3rd page needs to get done today)


HW:
1. SSR (4 entries due tomorrow)
