Period 2-3

Do Now
Click here to complete The Call of the Wild Final Test.

To Do
1. SSR
     a. When you are done with the test take your SSR log out.
         WRITE THE TIME YOU START READING.
         WRITE THE PAGE YOU START READING ON.
         THEN READ SILENTLY.
         When the timer goes off, write your reading log.
     b. Update GoodReads.com.
        (What page are you on?
         Have you finished a book that is still marked as
         "currently reading"?)

2. Vocabulary
     a.  Spend 10-15 minutes on Quizlet studying the lesson 1 words.
     b. Complete the test activity and show Mrs. King or Mr. Hicks your score. If you do really well and it's easy, you are ready for the vocab. test.  If you don't do well on it and it's really difficult, then you need to study.
       Book 3: Lesson 1
       Book 4: Lesson 1
       Book 5: Lesson 1
     c. Mrs. King will be calling you over individually to discuss your vocab. workbooks that were all checked and graded.  When you are done with corrections, please put it back in the metal basket so your work can be regraded.  

3. Grammar
     a. Get the new grammar packet: Rules 2-5 Pages.
     b. Do the first page.

Get out your SSR log sheet for this week.
Write the time and page number.
Begin silent reading.


To Do:

1. Literature/Writing

    a. Today we will read chapter 12, and answer 1, 2 & 3 on p.9 of the packet.

    b. The next quiz is on chapters 11-15.


2. Grammar
     a. We will go over the grammar packet (p.5 & 6).
     b. Do pages 7 & 8 of the Lesson 3 Grammar Packet.
    c. Hand in your grammar packet.

3. Vocabulary
We will play Quizlet.live  with the Lesson 1 vocab. words. 
(RR can study on his own). 
By the end of class, everyone should complete the test activity and show Mrs. King your score. 

If you do really well and it's easy, you are ready for the vocab. test.  If you don't do well on it and it's really difficult, then you need to study more.

If you forget your vocab. workbook at school, the pages are here:  Book 6: Lesson 1  & Book 8: Lesson 1.

HW:
