Period 2-3

Do Now: 
1. Get a chrome book and log in.  
-Open up this week's reading log (Sept.23-27) in Google Classroom.
-Record the starting page and start time.
-Read until the timer goes off.
-Write your reading log when you hear the timer.

To Do:

1. Copy the Signpost #4 Notes into the Reading Section of your English binder.

Signpost #4: Words of the Wise

2. Let's discuss the WW signpost using this PowerPoint.

3. Now we will watch some examples of the WW signpost:

The Lion King
Frozen

4. We will read an excerpt from Riding Freedom and highlight examples of the WW Signpost.  

5. Go on NoRedInk and master at least one more lesson in the Commonly Confused Words assignment.

6. Log into ReadWords.org and complete the assignment "Do You Bully?"

Work on NoRedInk
Remind your parents to sign into RealTime and update their contact information.

-Open up GoodReads.com and log in with Google.
-Update the book you are currently reading and the page you are on.
-Go to Google Classroom and open up this week's reading log (Sept.23-27).
-Record the starting page and start time.
-Write your reading log when the timer goes off.

To Do:
1. Together we will finish reading Broken Chain by Gary Soto. 
Scroll to the bottom of page 11.

2.  Go on NoRedInk and master at least one more lesson in the Commonly Confused Words assignment.

3. Log into ReadWorks.org and complete the "Books Through Bars" reading, questions and written responses.
