Period 2-3


Do Now: Get a chrome book and log in.

Open up Google Classroom.
Open up this week's SSR Log assignment (Sept.16-20).
Type in the time and page you start on.
Begin reading.
When the timer goes off, write your reading log.

To Do:
1. Get a highlighter and open up to the story we began reading yesterday.
-Highlight the 18 vocab. words in "Miss Awful":  
p.2 throng
p.3 ominous , agape, garments, rue, comply, prune (v)
p.4 whim, scrutinize, offspring, anecdote
p.5 tolerate
p.6 evict, vacate
p.7 infiltrate
p.8 industrious, mock & squander 

(18 words total)

2. As we read through the story, find and highlight examples of the C&C signpost in "Miss Awful."

3. Finish/Start creating your study set of the vocab. words from "Miss Awful."

4. Take out the Freak the Mighty Study Guide.  We will start going over the answers to chapter 4.

HW:  
Read 30 mins and then do SSR Log on Google Classroom
Study the vocab. words using the Quizlet you created in class today. (Quiz soon)

1. We will study the vocab. from "Miss Awful" by playing Quizlet.live .
2. We will write our own original sentences using the vocab. words.
3. Trade your sentences with a classmate and edit his/her writing with a correcting pen.
4. Take out the Divergent Study Guide.  
-We will start to go over the answers today.
-Completed study guide is due 9/30 on the day of the test.

HW:
(Read 30 mins) & Do SSR Log on Google Classroom 
Study the vocab. words from "Miss Awful"
Finish writing sentences with the vocab. words.
