1. Take the lesson Lesson 7 Vocabulary Test.

2. We will go over the test on the SMART board. How did you do? Do you need to retake it?
8th graders will not retake this test unless you see me privately about retaking it.
3. Today we will start discussing a new novel.

4. We will take a look at a Prezi to discuss the 1960s, when The Outsiders takes place.
5. Also, FYI: As we read this novel, we will eventually be working on two things:
- The Outsiders Vocabulary Guide to help us to better understand the novel.
-To find YOUR COPY of The Outsiders Vocab. Guide, go to Google Classroom!
Tomorrow you will install Kami on your chrome book so you can take notes on the
pages while reading.
- We will also work on The Outsiders packet to make sure we know what is going on in terms of the plot.
