Period 2-3
*Reading Log Check* 

1.  Today we will finish chapters 2 & 3 of The Call of the Wild by Jack London.


2. Go on newsela.com and do your third article, "Myths and Legends: Odysseus and His Odyssey, the Short Version."  DO NOT START THE QUIZ UNLESS YOU'VE FINISHED READING THE ARTICLE CAREFULLY!  I CANNOT RESET ALL OF THE QUIZZES.
Remember: When we do 8 articles, you'll get a good idea where you stand as a reader! 


3. Go on typing.com and continue your lessons. You must have the first six lessons done by the end of class today.

We will complete the text evidence tables for all chapter 2 and 3 parts.

1. Today we will review lesson 7 Vocabulary on Quizlet.live using the quizlets you made!
You will then take the Test on Quizlet and report your score to Mrs. King.  

Objective: I will practice and master Lesson 7 vocabulary words.  

2. We will do newsela.com.  Today you will read, "Los Angeles school suspensions drop as students talk out their problems"
First, let's watch this video to get thinking about the topic of bullying: Why I keep speaking up, even when people mock my accent
Objectives: I will read and communicate what I'm thinking as I read by making annotations.  
I will show that I understand the article, "Dream Job: App Developer," when I take the quiz and do the writing prompt.
