Today I will not be in class, as you have already noticed.

I am visiting Miss. Castillo's classroom over at Steen today.  Please be good for the teacher who is acting as my substitute.  You've got a lot of work to do today and the whole class (70 minutes) to get it done.  Please stay focused and work hard!

PLEASE READ THIS TO THE CLASS:
You may sit at the rug, on the beanbags, at the white and yellow table, or on a yoga mat to work, however, if you are not working, you will have to go back to your desk to sit.  You can work with a partner, but if you're socializing rather than working, you will be told to work alone.
*Please assign detention to any students you have to speak to about behavior 4 or more times.  

Here's what you'll do today:
1. 10 minutes of SSR
     -IT MUST BE COMPLETELY SILENT for 10 minutes while you are reading.
     -YOU MUST BE READING.
     -Ryan will be our time keeper.  If he is not here, another student can do it. Once the timer goes off, you must fill out your READING LOG.

2. Get a chrome book and sign in.
     -Log into Google.
     -Open up a new tab and go to quizlet.com.  Just like you did with lesson 4, you will create a      quizlet for lesson 5 today.  You should have 27 terms when you are finished.
*The lesson 5 vocabulary test will be on Friday.

      -You can then work on 5 a, b, c, d, e (due tomorrow) if you haven't completed it yet.

      -Exercise E will be worth a quiz grade so you may want to double check it during this time.

3. You can then go to your personal narrative and continue or finish up your rough draft.  This is also due tomorrow. YOUR WHOLE STORY SHOULD BE WRITTEN by the end of the day today.  I will be grading the rough draft tomorrow.  Be sure to share it with me through Google docs so I can see what you've written.

HW:

-SSR & Reading log

-5 a-e due tomorrow, Wednesday 11/16; 5e is worth a quiz grade

-1-4 review is extra credit

-personal narrative rough draft is due tomorrow 11/16 (share it through Google Docs)
-Quizlet 5 due tomorrow (be sure to add it to "Mrs. King's Pd 2-3" when you're on Quizlet)
-See Mrs. King after school today if you need any extra help of have any questions!
