Signpost #1

-Guided notes
-Watch: Contrasts and Contradictions Video

-Whole group reading of the story & discuss (Teacher will model how to identify signpost and think aloud)
Contrasts and Contradictions Reading

-Students will work in groups to identify the remaining signpost and answer the anchor question: "Why is the character doing that?"

HW: finish Signpost #1 (find two pieces of text evidence that are examples of the Contrast and Contradiction signpost) SSR & Reading Log, Vocab. 2a
