1. SSR (5 minutes)

2. As a whole class we will scan through and highlight the Balancing All Sides packet.  (This is your Paired Texts Packet #1, which you will see in PowerSchool.)

We must complete pages 16-21, and 24-29, as well as an essay by the end of class tomorrow.

3. Today you will begin working on pages 16-21 (you may work with an assigned partner or alone)
Then we will go over our responses as a class. When we go over our work you must correct/make changes to answers as needed.

4. As a class we will preview the writing prompts and you will begin to organize information (prewrite) using the provided graphic organizer in order to write an essay.

5. Complete p. 18, 19, 20, 21 & Writing Prompt (bottom p. 21) 3 paragraphs using chart

2. We will review yesterday's activity.  Paired Texts Packet #1

3.  As a whole class we will scan through and highlight the Balancing All Sides packet and review what we have completed and what is left to complete of the packet (Common Core Mastery Reading Paired Text Grade 6:  16-21, 24-29)

3. You will work independently to complete pages 24-29.

We will go over our responses as a class.

You will correct/make changes to answers as needed.

4. I will discuss the writing prompts and you will continue to complete the graphic organizer.  At this point, you should be writing essays, and/or completing your essays to revise and edit.

5. You will complete your three body paragraphs for homework if needed.
