5. Reading: Signpost #5: "Again and Again"
Today, we'll be learning the next signpost in reading: "Again and Again." This signpost is when we see an event or an object or a phrase being used over and over in the story. If you start to notice this pattern, you, the reader, should ask, "Why does this keep showing up again and again?" This might give the reader a clue to the theme or the conflict, or it might foreshadow what will happen later.

1. Bring in a picture of someone who is considered a "freak" S/he should be someone from The Guinness Book of World Records or Ripley's Believe It Or Not. You must bring in a picture in order to participate in Monday's activity! Do NOT save this for Sunday night. If you have trouble printing, then you need to email the photo to me and I will print it for you. You will want to do this at lunch today or right after school so you are prepared for Monday.
On Monday in class, you will write a diary entry from the POV of the person in the picture you bring in.
2. Remember to read your SSR book for at least 30 minutes& Complete SSR Log!
