 Friday 10/30: Reread The Landlady and complete Venn diagram to compare and contrast the story with the movie

If I give you a pass to see me after school, you MUST come to room 26 after school.

We will begin reading the short story, The Landlady by Roald Dahl and stop at certain points to discuss the story.

We will focus on foreshadowing- clues the writer gives to suggest what may happen later in the story; (also used to heighten the suspense in the story)

We will talk about how certain words the author uses aides in foreshadowing.

We will make predictions about the plot of the story.
