Period 5-6 
8th Grade Resource ELA 8:30am Tue. and Thu.
WE WILL START ON TIME B/C THERE IS A LOT TO DO.
Remember that Friday is optional but it would benefit you to be there.

To Do:

1. Participation: Try to earn 4 points today and Thursday!
     1- Be on time to Google Meeting (8:30am).
     1- Ask at least 1 question in the Google Meeting.
     1- Make at least 1 comment or observation in the Google Meeting.
     1- Showing up to class meet but not on time (must be in class by 9am).
Due: Earn at least 8 points by Friday for this week's classes. 
*Show up and participate on Friday if you were late to any required classes this week.

2. Grammar: Remote Instruction Unit 1 Practice Assignment is up so start working on it.
We will go through a few questions together while I put my NoRedInk into preview mode and present my screen to you. All lessons are due Friday.

Due: Friday, 100-pt. classwork grade

3. Vocab.: Study Lesson 6 words. 
Book 6, Lesson 6
Book 8, Lesson 6
Due: Vocab. Test on Thursday in class during our meeting

4. SSR: 
     a. Spend at least 30 minutes reading your SSR book.
     b. Update what book you're currently reading and what page you are on at         GoodReads.com. (Make sure you're reading b/c you'll have another SSR project/assignment soon).

5. Reading & Writing: 
     a. Some students still need to do the Refugee Chapter 1-6 Quiz Retake.
     b. We will very quickly go over the chapter 1-6 packet questions.
     Those students are: RJ, Lyahni, Lauro, Brando and Robbie.
     c. Read chapters 7, 8 & 9.
     d. Answer the ch.7-9 questions in the packet.
