Period 2-3

Do Now: Take out your SSR book to show Mrs. King.
It should match the book next to your name on GoodReads.Quiet down for The Morning Show.

To Do:
1. SSR 
    a. Begin reading.

2. Literature
   a. We will start reading chapter 7 today.
   b. p.20 The Outsiders packet 

   c. We will finish watching the movie when we finish reading the novel.

3. Writing
    a. Essay will be introduced and packet will be handed out.
    b. Start thinking about which essay topic you want to write about.

4. Vocab.
    a. Study the chapter 7 Vocab. Quizlet you created yesterday.

5. Grammar
    a. Work on NoRedInk: Mixed Practice Assignment

HW: 
1. Read your SSR book for 30 minutes.
2. Work on the NoRedInk: Mixed Practice Assignment
3. Study the Lesson 7 Vocab. Quizlet
4. Read over and think about the Essay topic you want to do for The Outsiders essay.
5. Make up any work you have a 0 on or that is marked as MISSING in RealTime.

Today we will continue watching West Side Story and taking notes in the graphic organizer you were given yesterday.  Open up to this page (It should be in your Writing section). This is part of the final essay grade (400 points total)
  Essay Grading is as follows:
    100 outline
    100 rough draft
    100 final draft
    100 effort

     Compare and Contrast Essay template/outline  

      YOUR COPY of the outline to fill in before writing the essay
          -The outline is worth 100 points of your final essay grade!  
           -We will work on this as soon as we finish 
           watching West Side Story.
