Period 2-3

Do Now: Finish your conversations so we can watch The Morning Show.  
Mr. Hicks will put the show on when you are all quiet and paying attention.  

To Do: 

1. Vocab. (20 mins)
In your Outsiders packet, do page 16.  
Create a Quizlet using the Chapter 6 Vocabulary words and add it to the class. 
Use page 16 as you create your Quizlet.

2. SSR (20 mins)
Work on your SSR project which is due tomorrow or read your SSR book.

3. Literature (20 mins)
Read chapter 6 of The Outsiders.  (You can read independently or as a class.)
Use this audio link to listen to as you read.

HW:
1. SSR Project due tomorrow
2. Finish the chapter 6 Vocab. Quizlet and add it to the class.
3. Get a new SSR book and start reading it.

This will be checked tomorrow. It DOES affect your grade.

3. Readworks.org (20-25 mins)
Read and answer the questions for the "Characters Who Change Because of Experience" Assignment. This is due tomorrow.

1. SSR Project due tomorrow
    *Get your next SSR book and start reading it.
2. Finish vocab. 5 C, D & E.
3. Finish ReadWorks assignment: "Characters Who Change Because of Experience"
