Period 2-3
Do Now:  
Begin a reading log and start silent reading.  
When everyone has begun reading, the timer will start.
When you finish your reading log, come up for your sticker.
Once you have a sticker, add a point to your name on Class Dojo.

1. Reading: SWBAT follow the plot of a seventh grade level text.
SWBAT follow along to and discuss The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton.
SWBAT answer reading comprehension questions about the novel.
We will continue reading The Outsiders, by S.E. Hinton.    
*We will work on page 9 together as we read.

2. Vocab.:  SWBAT determine the meaning of new vocabulary terms from
novel we are reading.  

Today we will continue working on the OutsiderVocabulary Assignment 
on Google Classroom. 

3.  Once you complete the first 10 words, you may work on the
Good Spelling Habits Packet.

4.  If time allows, study your vocabulary words on Quizlet.com

HW:
1. p.10 (1-15)
2. p.11 (1 & 2)  The Outsiders Work Packet
3. WW Vocab. Test 11/12, study on Quizlet.com
4. SSR 30 minutes + reading log

We will continue reading The Red Kayak, by Priscilla Cummings    
*We will work on the questions together as we read.

2. Vocab.:  SWBAT determine the meaning of new vocabulary terms from
novel we are reading.  

Today we will continue working on the Red Kayak Vocabulary Assignment 
on Google Classroom.
