Do Now: Open up to the reading log your wrote last night for homework.  

Start a new reading log for today, and start silent reading.

1. Reading: SWBAT gain background information on the setting of The Outsiders.
SWBAT learn about the author of The Outsiders.

The Outsiders Work Packet p.4 Meet the Author and p.5 to set the scene for the story.

-We will play Quizlet.live to become more familiar with the new vocabulary list (Lesson 15)

3. Grammar: Begin working on the Good Spelling Habits Packet p.331
