2. Lesson 9 Vocab.
You may spend 15-20 minutes studying the vocabulary words for lesson 9. You may want to play Quizlet.live or use the various activities on Quizlet.com. Pay attention to the different forms of each word if there are multiple definitions for a word!
Objective: I can understand all of the words of the Lesson 9 vocabulary list.
I can play a game to review and prepare for the Lesson 9 Vocab. Test which is tomorrow.
3. Take this survey before we read: Class Survey
4. As a class, we will read "Mrs. Flowers" by Maya Angelou. This is on p.186 of the textbook.
Then we will read, "When You Get, Give" on p.190.
After reading, we will complete (1-5 and write one paragraph on the Writing: Comparing Passages writing prompt)
Objective: I can determine the main idea of the story, "Mrs. Flowers" by Maya Angelou.
I can compare the message of two different, but similar pieces of literature while citing textual evidence in my response.
HW: Finish any classwork, Vocab. Test tomorrow on lesson 9, silent reading and reading log
