Complete the assignment.  Directions are in Newsela.  This activity is an introduction to Esperanza Rising, the novel we will be reading.  Together we will read Primary Sources: Interview with Bracero Jose Parra, and discuss and answer the 4 questions on it.

3. Based on what we read and talked about, in the Literature section of your binder, write 2-3 sentences that predict what you think Esperanza Rising will be about.

4. We will read p.1-12 of Esperanza Rising by Pam Munoz Ryan and do p. 6, 7 & 8 in the packet
