I am on the Art Club field trip today so I won't be in class with you guys today.

Here's what you need to do:

1. Log into Newsela.com. Click on "binder" and you will find your assignment:

a. Read the article, "Is letting students bring cell phones to school helpful or harmful?" 

b. Take the quiz

c. Do the WRITE section

d. Make at least 5 annotations on the article.

2. When your are done with all four things on newsela, you can log into quizlet.com to work on your vocabulary quizlet. You need to create a new term if different forms of the word (noun, verb, adj.) are given in the workbook. (When you are done, you should have at least 25 words total in your quizlet.)

You must ADD your  QUIZLET TO our CLASS to receive credit for it, otherwise I can't see that they did it.

3. You can do silent reading when you are done with everything.  Fill in their reading log bookmark to record their progress.
